Zoom In On Map: Hold
mouse down and drag a rectangle over the extent of the map you wish to zoom to
or point and click and the map will zoom to two times the current extent and
recenter the map on that point. |

Zoom Out Map: Click
the map and the map will zoom out two times the current extent and center the
map on that point. |

Pan The Map: Hold
mouse down and drag the map image to a new position. |

Identify the Active Layer:
The active layer is displayed in the layers page. Select the layer you wish to
query from the layers page and click the map and a dataset will be returned in
a new window. Images are not queryable. |

Re-Center The Map: By
clicking on the map, the map will recenter on that point. This tool works like
pan except the user just needs to click where they want to center. Primarily
used for an accurate coordinate calculation. |

Measure the Map in Feet:
Hold Mouse down at the start of the Measure and Drag mouse to the end of
measure. When the mouse is released, the map will display a line between the
two points and also display the distance in feet. |

Measure the Map in Miles: Hold
Mouse down at the start of the Measure and Drag mouse to the end of measure.
When the mouse is released, the map will display a line between the two points
and also display the distance in miles. |

View Overview Map and Map Info:
This tool will display an overview map of the area. This overview map is
zoomed out four times the current map extent and the overview shows a box
extent of the current map. This page also shows the current scale the map is
at. |

Display the Legend of the Map:
This information page shows a legend of the map with the current visible
layers. Visibility of layers can be set on the Layers information page. |

The Map Layers Page: This
page shows the user all the layers in the current map service. Each layers
visibility can be set by clicking in the VIS column. The map will automatically
turn the layer on and off. The ACT column displays the active layer that can be
queried. Only one can be set at a time. |

Change Map Services: All
ArcIMS Map sites are set up as services. The user may change the map service
being hosted currently to another. To load a new service, either select the
ones provided or enter the appropriate information. An ArcIMS Service requires
a MAP DOMAIN ( The IP or Website name hosting the Map Service), The
MAP PORT NUMBER (All ArcIMS Map Services have a specific port which it listens
for requests) and a MAP SERVICE NAME (Reference to the name of the actual Map
Service, this parameter is case sensitive). |

Print a Layout of Current Map:
This page allows the user to customize a few parameters of a map layout and
build a web page of the current map for printing purposes. Parameters for the
layout allow a TITLE of the map and the size of the map 8 1/2 X 11 or 11
X 17. That map is created in landscape page format. |
